Our Furniture Restoration Process

We find our antique pieces in the Chinese countryside and bring them to Beijing. Here's what many of them look like upon arrival.

Our staff and craftsmen carefully sand, repair and polish each piece in a painstaking process which restores each piece to its original character and beauty.

When replacement wood is needed to repair a damaged piece, our staff will match the original wood type and age with stock we have on hand in order to maintain the integrity of the piece. Pictured below are 200 year old timbers which we recovered from an old house that will eventually be used in our repair and restoration process.

Finally, the pieces are polished and readied for shipment to our stores.
