THE ARTIST
Trey Byargeon

For those of you who don't know me, I am a born again christian who is eternally grateful for the talent that has been graciously given to me. I am married to a beautiful woman who is a great mother to our three children. She is great and supports me unconditionally. I've developed a love for portraits and sports related art which ranges anywhere from wildlife to commissioned personalized sport art.

A Little History

I began drawing at the early age of 6 in the hospital due to an illness that kept me there for quite some time. With nothing to do but read comic books, after the first Captain America I was hooked, the art fascinated me and I began my career. My friends in elementary school always asked me, how did you learn to draw so well? My answer was, I was in the hospital for 2 months, you should try it. It"s funny to look back now some 25 years and think gosh, I've been doing this a while. In high school, my art teacher who I love with all my heart, Mrs. Faye Rawls introduced me to a whole new world of art. From there I learned wildlife art from the Great Don Edwards, to him I am truly thankful. One day I found myself at Books A Million looking for new art technique books and stumbled upon one of the greatest books ever "How to Draw Lifelike Portraits" by Lee Hammond. Needless to say I fell in love with the art of portraits. I have been improving in both speed, quality and likeness for the past three years.

Today and Beyond

Today I am working on an intensive Cvil War Portrait Series, four of them are available now. There will be twelve in all, both Confederate and Union. Also, I've found another love in sports related art. I have found that my ability to catch the likeness of almost any and everything I see, not to mention my love for portraits makes my art something special, something that I think people will enjoy. My first test was a Limited Edition original of the National Arenacross Champion Josh Demuth titled "The Sheriff". This fine art was done in graphite and prints are available signed by Josh and myself. My sports art will be personalized with a portrait as the main theme and will be on a comission base only and I will have samples of it soon. All my sports art now and in the future will be produced with great attention to detail of the subject and an incredible likeness of the protrait within the piece. I pray the future is bright and hope to produce fine art that you will love.
