WHO HAS FINAL SAY ABOUT YOUR HEALTH?

YOUR Health?

The Problem

Perhaps you, a family member, or a friend has been diagnosed with a medical condition, only to find that there are few options for treatment. Common complaints like low back pain, PMS, and irritable bowel syndrome are often poor addressed by conventional medicine.

Fortunately, many people have found relief through the care of a alternative medicine practitioner, such as an acupuncturist, a naturopathic physician, or a chiropractor.

Given the current political and regulatory climate in the health care system, however, on going access to this type of treatment cannot be taken for granted. Only a very short time ago, alternative medicine was not covered by insurance and its practitioners were ostracized from the larger medical community. Consider the forces that could potentially limit your access to alternative medical care:

  • Insurance Companies
  • Government Agencies
  • Big Business
  • Politicians
  • Special Interest Groups

How can you ensure that the medical options you find valuable will remain available to you when you need them?

The PfAM Solution

Patients for Alternative Medicine (PfAM) is a growing, grass roots organization that is dedicated to informing patients and concerned individuals about access -- access to complementary or alternative health care providers, access to safe and nutritional foods, and access to insurance coverage of alternative medical treatments.

Our goal is to retain access to all forms of alternative health care and natural medicine. Through our legislative alerts, newsletters, and phone trees, we are able to mobilize a strong response when action on issues or legislation is required. But we cannot do this alone. We need your help. Please consider strengthening our voice, and your own, by joining PfAM and encouraging your friends and others to do the same.
