| | 1. Use a "pre-cut liner or; 2. With a large piece of art paper or news paper, use an unformed cage as a template. Outline and cut your liner. | |

| | "B" INSTRUCTIONS: "PLANTING YOUR BULBS IN YOUR PROTECTA-BULB CAGE"™® | |
| | A. LEAVE ADEQUATE SPACING between bulbs and bulbs and cage sides for those bulbs that multiply annually.

| | B. PUT 2” OF SOIL MIX (1 ˝” for SBC-1, small bulb cage) in bottom of cage and compact same. | |
| | C. SET BULBS UPRIGHT with bud area pointing upwards, surround bulbs with soil mix, then cover with additional soil and gently compact. | |
| | D. FILL CAGE with soil and compact to bring soil level slightly above level of top horizontal wire of cage sides. | |
| | E. SECURE TOP ON CAGE BY: Placing top on cage so that at least ľ of the sides vertical protruding wire ends extend through the inside of the 4 outside horizontal wires of the top. Using the tip of your trowel, bend over outward 90ş 1 or 2 of the protruding wire ends as follows: a. on cages with sides under 7” - at one spot in middle of side. b. on cages with sides 7” or over - at two spots evenly spaced on sides. | |

| | A. Dig a hole 2” wider and longer than the Protecta-Bulb Cage™ you are planting, -- and 2” - 3” deeper than the depth of the cage. | |
| | B. Mix in the appropriate amount of fertilizer into soil at bottom of hole. | |
| | C. Place Protecta-Bulb Cage™ ‘Minnie Garden’ into hole such that the cage top is 1” below the surrounding ground. | |
| | D. Pack soil around sides of cage. | |
| | E. Push Protecta-Bulb Cage™ markers another 1” into ground so that the bottom end (of marker) protrudes through bottom of the cage.

| | F. Cover top of cage with 1” soil and 1-1˝” of mulch cover. | |
