Those who sense God drawing them to live more intensively a spiritual life joined to others and marked by a spirituality that is Eucharistic, Marian, Charismatic and Evangelistic may seek to become members of Marian Community.

Application for membership is made to the community's Board of Review. To assist the prospective member to understand the charism of the community and to more fully participate in the life of the community, a "mentor" accompanies the prospective member during the time of their discernment.

The period of discernment before becoming a member of Marian Community is normally one year from the time of application.

When someone makes application, they also begin to attend one of the weekly prayer meetings of the community. All members are required to participate in a Life in the Spirit Seminar, with prayer for the baptism in the Holy Spirit and ongoing seeking for the charisms of the Holy Spirit. They are also required to participate in a 40-hour fast.
