Bonsai artist Dave Paris will be giving FREE workshops at the store again this year. Below you will see tenative outline for spring. - Deciduous I - Preparing for Spring Growth Saturday, March 27th 10am-Noon Topic: Getting maples, elms, and other deciduous trees ready for the coming growing season. - Deciduous II - Radical Restyling Saturday, April 3rd 10am-Noon Topic: Taking existing deciduous material and radically changing the style and future of the tree to make it much better. - Junipers I - Understanding and Working Procumbens (subtitle "this ain't your mallsai!") Saturday, April 10th 10am-Noon Topic: They're nearly everywhere, but what can you do with the Procumbens juniper and it's cousin, the San Jose. - April 16-18, Mid-Atlantic Bonsai Societies Show, no classes - Junipers II - Radical Restyling Saturday, April 24th 10am-Noon Topic: Taking an existing Procumbens or San Jose juniper and radically altering it to be far more above average. - Pines - What, When, How, Why Saturday, May 1st 10am-Noon Topic: Black pines & Mugo pines, what to do with them, when to do it, how to do it, and why. - Class Project Day - Everyone Gets Their Hands Dirty! Saturday, May 8st 10am-4pm Topic: Still forming this one, but will probably be "bring or buy a tree to work it". Observers very much invited!
