FEEDING GUIDE: Because Flint River Ranch Oven-Baked Kibble is high density, you can feed at least 20% less than other dog foods. The food is very rich and highly digestible in the dog's system. Care must be taken not to over-feed. Because the food is concentrated, a standard 8 ounce cup holds 4.2 ounces of food. This compares to an average of 3.3 ounces in most extruded foods.

Food requirements vary depending on climate, breed of dog, and exercise activity. The above are suggested amounts. Feed an amount that will maintain your dog's correct body weight.
Any new food is best introduced by mixing it with your current pet food for approximately one week and allowing for slow assimilation. When introducing a new diet, mix the new food with your dog's usual food and slowly increase the amount of the new food over several days. A sudden change in any food source may be a shock to your dog's digestive system. You may notice loose stool. If so, reduce the amount of new food being introduced until your dog adjusts.
